Introduction to Yoga Philosophy with Jodie Geoff

Yoga philosophy teaches that the very core of our being is pure bliss. When we practice the 8 limbs of yoga and learn we are not the fluctuations of the mind and we have the desire to transcend, we experience yoga. In this class we will learn the basics of the yoga philosophy from Patanjali's The Yoga Sutras. We are looking at restraints, observances, postures, breath work, withdrawing from the outer world, concentration, meditation, and the state of ecstasy. When we practice yogic living and these philosophic principles we refine and stabilize every aspect of our lives and our consciousness, we become aware of our inner light. The purpose of all eight limbs is to purify ourselves, evolve spiritually, and connect to that pure bliss.
